Reveg for Success
Are you planning to do some native revegetation in the Adelaide Hills or Fleurieu Peninsula and wondering where to start and what to plant?
If you own or manage a property in the Adelaide Hills or Fleurieu Peninsula and would like to learn how to plan a re-vegetation project, this FREE re-vegetation workshop is for you. Whether you are planning a small or large-scale project, re-vegetation can provide numerous benefits for your property and the broader landscape.
Join Riverdale Farm, starting from 9.30 for a face-to-face workshop. With this workshop, you will be able to learn how to design your re-vegetation project to achieve your desired purpose, select appropriate plant species and prepare your planting site, undertake your re-vegetation planting and maintain it into the future, develop a practical Action Plan to guide you through your project, ready for planting, and much more useful information.
The workshop aims to provide opportunities for you to discuss your own re-vegetation activities with your local Stewardship Officer from Landscapes Hills and Fleurieu.
Participants will see a brief planting demonstration and afternoon tea will be provided. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn, connect with others, and make a positive impact to conserve flora and fauna on your property.

Annual Riverdale ‘Planting Festival’
Riverdale Farm planting festival takes place on Sunday 6 July, where you’ll be joined by many other like-minded individuals and together plant hundreds of native seedlings the Bremer River and share a delicious lunch.
We kick off the day by providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the planting event's purpose, the significance of our plantings, and why it’s important to plant by rivers. This approach offers you valuable insight into the impact of your contribution.
The event will be brimming with a celebratory ambiance, possibly due to the blend of enjoying the outdoors, forging new connections, and the gratification of actively contributing to conservation efforts.
The Bremer River is an 88km river and is home to an abundance of wildlife including threatened species such as Diamond Firetails, an exquisite small bird that is classified vulnerable.
Location
The Planting Festival will be held at Riverdale Farm, Hartley.

Native grass and flower ID with Seeding Natives Inc
Join us for this incredible chance to learn about native grasses with Seeding Natives Inc.
Andrew is the CEO and founder of Seeding Natives Inc, a non for profit organisation that is innovating ecological restoration from the ground up and specialises in native grasslands, with the primary objective of saving threatened species and ecosystems.
How do we know what a native grass and what an introduced (weed) species is?
How many different native grass species are there and what are ways to identify them?
Bring a hat and water bottle as we will be spending a lot of time outside. Please wear long pants and enclosed shoes as there may be slithery critters out and about.
