Riverdale Farm
Welcome to Riverdale Farm—where the land is (becoming) wild, the tea is hot and seeds are planted — both literal and metaphorical—for a wilder future.
Maybe, you’re here because you’re craving inspiration for rewilding your own patch of earth or seeking to join a group of wonderful humans exploring the magic of rewilding.
Welcome, friend.
You’ve found your place.
Pull up a chair, grab a cuppa (preferably Yorkshire Tea), and let us tell you a little about this messy, wonderful, often bewildering journey we’re on.
Here’s the deal:
We’re not experts, gurus, or people who’ve got it all figured out. We’re just two blokes with a big dream, a 40-acre farm, a deep love for nature (and a slightly obsessive love for birds), and a stubborn belief that small actions can create big change.
Riverdale Farm is where we’ll share the highs, lows, and everything in between as we navigate rewilding our land, our minds, and our lives.
From cultivating native seeds to figuring out how to live sustainably and finding joy in the smallest things – it’s all here, unfiltered.
Meet Simon & James
We’re Simon and James, custodians of Riverdale Farm.
A few years ago, we took a leap of faith and acquired a 40-acre pastoral farm that captured our hearts. Nestled on Ngarrindjeri country, this land spoke to us—its whispers of restoration and potential were impossible to ignore.
Since then, we’ve poured our hearts (and quite a bit of sweat!) into rewilding the farm, cultivating native seeds, and supporting ecological restoration efforts across South Australia. We’re not just about growing grass—we’re about growing hope, resilience, and a community united in reimagining our relationship with the land.
Our mission
To create a sustainable, community-driven model for rewilding that inspires and empowers others to take action—one wildflower, one birdcall, one hectare at a time.
Upcoming workshops
“This was one of the most positive, uplifting workshops I've been to for years.”
